The ANC has produced a diversity and inclusion policy with the aim of promoting an inclusive workforce in acoustics, noise and vibration consultancies in the UK; and to ensure that the ANC is leading by example on diversity and inclusion through its own operations. The policy is available here.

Entries are now open for an award that recognises emerging talent in the acoustics sector.

The Rising Star accolade is part of the John Connell Awards 2023, held by the Noise Abatement Society.

Sponsored by the ANC and ANV Measurement Systems, the submission deadline is 22 September, and the shortlist will be announced one week later.

Entry is open to individuals nominating themselves who are employed in the acoustics profession and hold some membership of the Institute of Acoustics.

Entries should include an endorsement from a senior manager within their own organisation making sure they are copied into the email submitting the entry.
