PCT Workshop 2nd April Birmingham

A Workshop for all testers will take place on Tuesday 2nd April at the Novotel, Birmingham Centre.

It is the first time since 2016 that ANC is organising a workshop specifically linked to the Sound Insulation Testing Registration Scheme, so we are encouraging all member companies who provide testing under Building Regulations to book places. This event will be an update for experienced testers and an essential guide for newer testers.

A full programme and booking form can be found below.

400,000th sound insulation test registered

Robin Mackenzie Partnership (RMP) were commissioned to undertake the completion sound testing at new build flats and houses in Alva, Clackmannanshire, which have been developed using Offsite Volumetric Construction. Nicola Robertson, a consultant at Robin Mackenzie Partnership, completed the milestone test at the site.

Robert Osborne of ANC, said: “The ANC Registration Scheme for pre-completion testing was established in 2004 by members of the association, who wanted to make the process as streamlined, cost effective and straightforward as possible. Since then it has gone from strength-to-strength in the industry.

“Benefits include the ability, if required, for our registered testers to provide advice on overcoming problems which may be identified during the test.Clients are provided with a unique task number and password for every test undertaken.

“This, with an ANC sound insulation test report, allows the Building Control Officer to verify the test has been undertaken by a qualified tester and confirm the results.
